IPLINGMAILBASE
| |
| Through the University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne in the north of England, a Kipling discussion forum has been set up, using the well established academic 'mailbase' system, for members of the Society and academic specialists on RK. Any member of the 'rudyard-kipling' mailbase can exchange messages by email with everyone else on the list. It is a simple informal system for corresponding with other Kipling enthusiasts anywhere in the world. More and more people have joined the mailbase over the past few months. |

Issues raised over the past few weeks have ranged widely, including how to find particular rare editions, on-line sources of Kipling poems, work being done on a new bibliography, where a particular quote came from, how RK picked up his knowledge of tiger shooting, RK and the Victoria Cross, ideas for a new conference, and RK's Lanchester motor cars. |
There have recently been lively discussions on Kipling's City of Dreadful Night, and about the echoes of spiritualism in They , his most celebrated ghost story. Once you become a member of the Society, there is a simple procedure for joining, and you will automatically receive any messages to the mailbase in your inbox. |
