The Museum
The Museum and Art Gallery is maintained
by"The Rottingdean
Preservation Society" for the benefit of
residents and visitors alike, and is staffed by a band of
dedicated volunteers. It is open on weekdays from 10.00
am until 4.00 pm and on Sundays from 2.00 to 4.00 pm.
During the summer months refreshments are available in
the peaceful tea-garden. There is no admission charge to
the building. The Society has published a number of
interesting booklets, leaflets, charming illustrations
and a video about him life of the village and these may
be purchased at the sales table. The Society also
maintains an Archive Room concerned with the history of
the village and its residents, and these records can be
examined by appointment.
